I want to extend a sincere thank you to all the staff at CCRC. My experience here was truly life-changing. With the incredible support of Ron and Alex, I gained the confidence to face and work through some of the most challenging parts of my journey. Their compassion, insight, and guidance made all the difference. I’m deeply grateful for this experience and the growth it’s helped me achieve.

My experience at CCRC was truly amazing ! The staff from top to bottom was the best & was always very caring and supportive and I will always be grateful for ALL of the help that I received. A very overdue Review! Above and beyond is what CCRC was for our Family a few years ago when our son had needed some addiction help and was now facing some legal trouble. We were that family we never thought we would be and CCRC was there for our son and us.. I wanted to write everything they did for us in this review and that’s why it’s taken so long to write. However I can’t do that it would take all day! So I will just say our experience with Wes Heim and Jake and the staff at CCRC was a blessing. It was an excruciatingly painful process that we were in and never thought we’d be in the situation, but to have the support and a place to go and finally find help for our son no words can explain this feeling. Our Family will be forever grateful to CCRC.

I cannot thank the team enough at CCRC. I believe they helped save my son. They did save my son. My son is an addict, with Bipolar, and was born with a serious genetic disease. We were desperately seeking a treatment facility that could meet the unique needs of our son. We are deeply grateful to the entire team and owner for professionally putting together an intensive individual treatment plan that was designed to help my son reach his individual goals and personal success. Their patience, empathy, compassion and kindness was what helped my son believe in himself. My son had an entire team to meet his medical, mental, and emotional needs. It was not an easy journey for my son, but I do believe he now has a strong foundation, work ethic, and recovery program that will now serve him to be the man we always knew he could be. It’s up to our son now, but CCRC taught him skills, and tools to use on the next part of his journey. We understand that addiction and mental illness takes work and commitment daily. Great program with lots of opportunities, they focus a lot on getting you back into life, they teach you how to do real life tasks like get back to work and not get high, how to live on your own, how to change your mind set and think positive, I been in and out of treatment for about 5 years and I've finally found a place I can call home the house managers are like family. It's a safe place to go with integrity and care. Wes is like everyone's dad they never had he truly shows love for all his clients. Everything is centrally located so it's easy to move here and re integrate into a new sober life.

This review is intended for the loved ones/friends of a struggling addict; particularly for the loved ones and friends of an addict who keeps relapsing. I am one of those addicts who has been through the gamut when it comes to treatment centers. I was referred to CCRC for After Care, Intensive Outpatient, and Sober Living after finishing 30 days at a residential treatment center. This referral to CCRC is the best thing that could have ever happened to me. I spent 60 days at CCRC towards the end of 2019 and after I left I learned how to be a man for the first time. I need to stress one important thing, CCRC is NOT in business simply to earn money. Let me repeat this one more time, CCRC is NOT in business to bleed your insurance dry to earn a profit. CCRC is owned and operated by one of the best men I’ve ever met in my life and that person is Wes Heim. I’ve seen Wes pull addicts out of jail, go to bat for them in court when they violated the terms set forth for probation, and even scholarship addicts who did not have insurance or who didn’t have the means to be in the program. Wes really cares about what he does and I promise you will feel at ease after speaking to him. The staff at CCRC is just excellent as well and they consist of men who Wes has known his entire life. Men like Noah, Ron, and Juice were all essential in helping me stay off drugs. I consider them all lifelong friends. If you have a loved one who is struggling with their addiction please call Wes, please stop wasting your money at places that take advantage of you and give you struggling addict a chance to recover. You won’t be disappointed.

Monday July 26, 2021 I am writing today regarding my son, John. I had a very positive and hopeful feeling after speaking with Wes Heim the Program Director at the treatment center that John’s Mother and I ended up choosing to best treat our Son. Originally, John was placed at Uturn For Christ which there were many benefits. However, it was not tailored to his needs. So, the transfer to Wes’s program has been absolutely amazing. What a difference. John has responded and is thriving with a new perspective and positive outlook towards his past mistakes with using drugs and his renewed hope in life in general. The treatment center /recovery program has surpassed our expectations and was the perfect placement for John to heal and be inspired for his bright future. The protocol to educate and explain addiction and the way it gets a hold of you has led John to the realization that he can choose not to allow evil to possess him. He has started to focus on his health again. John used to be a personal trainer and was at the gym daily. The past 2 years he hasn’t been in the gym due to his addiction problem. Now, he has acknowledged this problem and stated “ Evil kept me away from anything positive”. Thankfully, he is back in the gym daily !!!! In summary, had it not been for this program and the wonderful experience, Wes’s help in placement and referrals to sober living etc… the many personal calls he spent his time on with me and our family were to say the very least, so helpful. CCRC has been an extremely healing and supportive treatment program for my loved one. Wes, the house management , and treatment staff have provided great care and I am appreciative and grateful for all they have done.

I loved CCRC, it was a great time and an amazing place to get sober. I am coming up on 20 months sober and I love everyone that I met through their program! So helpful.

My 22-year old son has been in an out and of recovery from drugs and alcohol for the last few years. It's has been extremely difficult to watch the progression of his disease and self destruction, that I was nearly hopeless. Despite all the money spent with therapy sessions, several treatment facilities, hours dealing with insurance companies, alanon meetings, sleepless nights trying to turn his decision over to God and understanding how powerless I was over my son's willingness to change....NOTHING was working. Until five months ago.... After completing 30 days at a Residential facility, I was advised to send him to CCRC to extend his care. The miracle happened, he successfully completed 90 days! For the first time in a long time, I was able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. The team at CCRC went above and beyond to help my son, to the point of driving him back to the Bay Area from San Diego for his court case, helping him shop for clothes so he could look presentable. My son had anxiety about flying on his own back home, and he confessed that he would relapse if he had to get on a plane. Wes Heim, one of the owners of CCRC, did not hesitate and prevented a disaster from happening. They also helped with the communication with the attorney and coordinated all the logistics, including advising me on what to do. During his 90 days in treatment, I received frequent updates regarding his progress, and truly felt that my son was in great hands. Additionally, the psychiatrist was able to stabilize him on the right medication for his bipolar disorder, which he recently had been diagnosed with. I can't thank Wes Heim and the CCRC team enough for the incredible care they provided to my son, and for helping bring some peace back into my life, knowing that my son was finally safe. I would recommend this program to anyone struggling with addiction and mental health issues. This team not only is extremely competent but their high involvement and kindness brought tears to my eyes. Thanks CCRC team for everything! I was referred to this program through a colleague of Mr. Wes Heim who is one of the owners here at CCRC who had nothing short of amazing things to say about Mr. Heim and the program he runs here out of San Marcos, CA. This has been an amazing program where clients are brought into an intensive treatment program with groups five days a week, daily transport to AA/NA/HA meetings and one on one therapy through Brandy and her clinical team which consists of Brett, Ed and Brittany once a week but may vary based on the clients needs. Mr. Noah Harper runs the day to day operations and does an outstanding job of making sure everything runs smoothly and goes to great lengths to ensure the safety of the clients as well as the clients sobriety. Mr. Ronnie Walker is in charge of the phase 1 portion of CCRC's program and has a way of connecting with the clients through respect, honesty and solid structure for young men in early sobriety. Every staff member has an open door policy and are genuine about every clients well being and growth. Clients such as myself are not treated like a number. Wes and his team go above and beyond all expectations of any other treatment center I've been to and trust me when I say that I've been through a multitude of different drug and alcohol treatment facilities and none of them come close to the level of the way that the staff here at CCRC does to treat all clients equally and with a level of respect and dignity than I have experienced at other facilities. Wes and his team truly do care about us and it is quite evident from day 1. I have never been to a facility where the owner has as much involvement with the clients as Wes does. He is available at all times of the day and will go to bat for the clients any way he can. Wes and his team are more than willing to work with any client despite what personal hang ups and demons we may be battling at the time. I checked into detox sometime in April and had only spoken with Wes over the phone. He assured me that we would meet very soon. Wes gave me a time and date at which he would personally drive all the way out to my detox just to make sure I was comfortable before I was stated to enter his program at CCRC. Sure enough, Wes delivered as promised. He drove all the way out to where I was detoxing at (which was more than two hours away) just to simply talk with me, genuinely get to know me, ask about my goals and give me a run down of what I can expect from CCRC. Once I was done detoxing, Mr. Noah Harper picked me up precisely at the time he said he would be there. He was not a minute late. On the drive to San Marcos, Noah made me feel at ease and comfortable while we got to know each other. He also stopped off and got us both food which he paid for, presumably out of his own pocket which meant a lot to me. Noah took me straight to the center to do my intake which went as smooth and painless as I've ever seen at different treatments. He then took me straight to their medical director where I got my meds straightened out and disability filed. I then arrived at the phase 1 house which is in an upscale neighborhood and was taken inside and greeted by the house manager Ron who then introduced me to my new housemates. M-F schedule is 7am wake up. 8am house devotional group. 9am chores.10am we leave for the group center. 1045-2pm groups. 330pm gym (daily) then we go to a meeting nightly. Food is provided and you are allowed your cell phone at all times except for when we have groups. The house is very cozy, upscale and clean. There is a 2 week blackout period where we can't stay home alone or go out by ourselves on the weekend. We have a weekend excursion which differs every week and are drug tested 3 times a week and at random with one test going to the lab. After you complete phase 1 you have the option to move to the phase 2 house where you can get acclimated into daily life with freedom to get a job and run a program of recovery. I highly recommend CCRC to anyone seeking help thanks to Wes and staff.

Excellent clinical staff!! I’ve watched them bring several clients to a state of solid recovery. The staff at CCRC treats their clients with respect and care and I believe they hold integrity as one of their core values.

I believe CCRC has saved my son's life and our family! Transitioning from another treatment center, we had a basis for comparison that confirmed CCRC is absolutely amazing! My first conversation with Wes let me believe that this recovery center was exactly what my son needed. With Wes sharing his story I quickly realized he really did understand our struggles. We live 3000 miles from the center, but I feel like Wes is right next door ready to help us with any request or question. Honestly, I do not understand how he does it! Clearly, he must have super human powers! LOL We had mentally prepared ourselves for a life without our son. His addiction was rampant, It took such a toll on our marriage, family life and destroyed any relationship we once shared with our son. With recovery and the direction of this program, our life is becoming less chaotic and we are actually rebuilding our relationship with our son. For us, it is nothing short of a miracle. Honestly, we had lost hope. Our son is finding peace and happiness. It has been the most miraculous thing to witness. I know without the complete program of recovery that CCRC offers, this would not be poosible. Every aspect of my son's life is challenged: Recovery from actual addiction, physical well being, spiritual and mental growth and learning life skills. I am failing to express the extent of our life that has been re-captured by the hard work from the CCRC team. To the entire team, I am forever grateful!! Having a hard time deciding which Recovery to choose? Look no further. As a previous client of CCRC, I felt compelled to write a review of my experience. There are so many Recovery options these days the choice can feel overwhelming of which one to go with. Will I pick the right one? Can they really help me? I can tell you from my personal experience, I had been bounced around from previous attempts to get clean at other Recovery Centers and it wasn't until I landed at CCRC that I was provided the tools I needed to go back into the world and succeed at life and sobriety... and my life has never been better. At CCRC, there is a customized formula that works. From Day 1, the owner Wes Heim will make you feel like you're family, he drove from San Diego all the way up to Orange County in dead traffic hours to personally pick me up from the Recovery Center I was at prior to CCRC..and you just know right away when you meet him you have landed in the right spot. Wes exudes confidence in what he does, and he gives you this comforting feeling of trust right out the gate. But it goes beyond Wes; the entire CCRC staff treat their clients with the utmost respect, like GROWN MEN (not like infant children at the other Recovery experiences I had - nightmares). Since leaving the CCRC, I have been able to stay clean, I have an incredible job, my family and I have a stronger relationship than we ever had before, and I have CCRC to thank for saving my life. I will forever feel indebted to Wes and his team. If you have read this far, do yourself a favor - just go meet the owner Wes one time and you be the judge on first impression. The guy is sharp, savvy, and can relate to you on a very real, raw level. He's been there. He is a Recovery success story. He knows exactly what you are going through and he can relate. I can't say enough about CCRC. Wes Heim is a person of the highest integrity, motivated by achieving the best outcomes for his clients. As a parent I know the importance of trust in the relationship between provider and family. Wes and his team communicated honestly and often and personalized their support to match our needs. CCRC treated my son with compassion, made a true commitment to his journey, and held on to a fierce belief in his gifts, talents, and strengths. CCRC is made up of good people doing difficult work for all the right reasons. This program provides a healthy environment for recovery including accountability, support, and community. Solid recovery program with a great mix of treatment as well as having fun in recovery. The staff is very focused on helping others get to where they want to be. They took a huge chance on me and they have had a huge impact on my life and are a huge reason why I'm alive today. First Step was the ideal housing situation for me when I got out of rehab. I wanted a place that had a positive vibe and a sense of community, with people genuinely trying to keep themselves clean. Wes Heim was a great house manager and advocate for positive change.. always looking out for our best interest. He is a no nonsense leader, which we all liked and respected. We had an incident with a guy coming to live in the house that was causing problems continuously on purpose. Wes removed him quickly so we could focus on our recovery and strengthen our community. If you are serious about recovering and starting your new life, First Step is the place to live!

This has been a great place for me in my recovery. The staff and managers are very kind and created a sober environment worth every penny. The house is in a great neighborhood and the amenities, including 2 separate TV rooms in a spacious house. The housemates are friendly and empathetic to all addicts. This is my safe haven. Newly remodeled with all new furniture and appliances. I am so grateful that i found such a great sober living environment.
